I can see why you have such love for those Endless Mountains Frank. Those trails look like they would lead to some memorable experiences. I love Vixen's look.

Edgar: Wonderful poem. Who composed it?

Just beautiful Frank, and what a great picture of your Fox and its game. Makes me anxious for this Wednesday when I travel to my friends property in Potter County to chase your beautiful whitetails with a bow.

I'm not sure I can find it, but it was in an old (duh) issue of Harpers Weekly.

Either way, it's a great poem.

As i read it it said Archibald Rutledge to me. I usually do not like poetry and my english teacher granddaughter gave me a book of his poetry for christmas and it sounds like him and he did write for Harpers.

I do remember Frank mentioning that. After seeing Grumpy and his buddy I don't think I want to hunt them but I won't turn down the opportunity if it arises.

Default Vixen gets the game!

Nice Frank....love the English grip on your Fox, few of them around! My older brother got one from my dad. It was a sweet little 20 SW that had a hi-grade English stock with the correct long tang guard. Savage period SW could be ordered with strait stocks. No Philly SW were made that way. I have an A-grade 16, English stocked with killer wood that I have hunted roosters with.....I call her Stormy Seas....(-: SXS Ohio
I have hunted grouse in Potter County with a good friend. We hunted Thompson and Cherry Springs areas, Killed my biggest adult grouse ever over his Ryman Setter. West Nile did a job on our Grouse and here in Ohio has killed them out for all intent purpose or productive hunting. Sad event for sure.
