Contact Dixon's Muzzle Loading Shop in Kempton PA. Years ago I sent a person who needed a matching hammer for an A grade hammer Parker pigeon gun to them. They specialize in original and repro PA/KY style c. 1700s long rifles but are masters at matching replacement parts to original old guns.

At that time they had their own contract engraver to replicate original patterns on hammers, floorplates, patchboxes, ramrods, etc. They forged, finished, colored and engraved a replacement hammer to match his original perfectly; they even "distressed" (aged) it to match the overall patina of his gun. First quality gunmakers of the highest talent. Google them for their own website.

I have some on hand. But I would need to see a picture of the other side in order to match up the style.

I called Dave Fjelline yesterday and left a message. He called me back at 7:45 PM California time (10:45 PM EST) and we spoke for 15 minutes. I told him that we had heard he had a serious health problem and that he was no longer taking any work. He said “Rumors of my imminent demise are without substance. I’m fine! I’m really busy with setting trap machines for shoots all over. Just finished our annual California Side by Side Association shoot and display and I’m in the middle of my rice planting season.” He said needs to make more low grade Parker hammers but he still has a number of the higher grade contour hammers. He only wants to sell them in pairs though. They are not engraved.
He said he’ll let me know when he has them in stock.

Thanks to all who have reached out, expressed interest, etc.

I'm having issues trying to post pics. Tried clicking on insert image but no go.

If someone would be kind to share cell or email privately, I can forward that way. Is it because I'm a new member that I can't post? Thank you

And the pictures will post their best if you remember to crop your pictures even a tiny bit and save before posting.

Thanks Dean. I am amazed by how many gun pictures get posted with the photographer's feet in the picture.

Thanks Dean I'm glad to hear Dave is doing fine. I was worried when he wasn't at the Southern this year.
