Default 20 gauge NID

I looked at a 20 gauge barrel set NID today. I placed it on hold. I have a few questions. The barrel sets are 28” and 24” SN’s match the receiver. The gun is a basic field grade with cocking indicators.
Can anyone tell me if Ithaca offered a 24” set? Can a letter be obtained?
I will be inspecting closer when i return for turkey hunting at the end of this week.
Anything I should pay close attention to?

Ithaca Gun Co. only catalogued 26-, 28- & 30-inch 20-gauge NIDs. But we know righteous 20-gauge guns with 32-, 24- and even 22-inch barrels

Thanks guys I am a member of the CFM but did not remember they had records on the Ithaca NID’s.
I now recall Walt donated his records to Cody.
I will make a call Monday. I hope the guns will show it came with 2 sets of barrels.
Overall it’s a nice gun, unfortunately the butt stock needs replacement.
Stock cut to 13”. I will start looking for a stock.
It sure looked small sitting on the rack.

I have a legitimate 28 gauge Flues with 24” barrels. Not sure if that helps your case.

I think I know who has a stock for your Ithaca, I'll let you know.
