Steve, being that the gun has the long LOP that you need, has nicely done straight stock with fancy wood and the original stock to boot, I'd say go for it. But if it were me I would make a lower offer.
You can always buy it at the full asking price if he refuses the offer. Be sure to find out if shipping is extra, and ask for that to be included in the asking price.
