The way I hunt ducks is to travel from water tank to water tank on my quad hoping to be able to jump some ducks. There are several circuits of tanks I hunt about an hour and a half from the house. Before the end of the year when dove season closes, a hunter has a chance to shoot quail, dove, and ducks all during the same hunt. The biggest problem in Arizona with this kind of hunting is that during the last few years, many of the tanks were dry due to drought conditions. This year about half of the tanks have water.
The gun pictured is a well-used 1903 CHE 12 gauge with Titanic barrels choked IM and replacement stock. I purchased it over 30 years ago. Mechanically it is perfect and I used it for this hunt because I shoot off-the-shelf ammo for quail and dove and use RST Bismuth for the ducks. It is lighter than the 10 gauge hammer guns I prefer for hunting waterfowl exclusively.
