Both sets of barrels, 28” and 32”, would be expected to be the same weight by design being a true two-barrel set. The gun should have identical handling characteristics with either set of barrels and that difference in the size of the forends probably fit perfectly into the intended handling characteristics.

Are there any Remington codes on the barrel flats?

That is a beauty! And it seems to have a desirable “trap comb” too.

Nice find Dan!

*** I misspoke, The gun is not in the serialization book. I misinterpreted the seller description that indicated that the gun was a 2 barrel set. It appears that the 2nd set (28") is a later set of barrels.

Thanks for that additional bit of information Dean. Yes definitely has the "Trap comb" I forgot to mention the 32" barrel chambers measure 2 7/8" and the 28" chambers measure 2 3/4" with a Galazan gauge. Here's the barrel flats.
