Default 2023 Spring Minnesota Drumming Counts

There is some cautiously optimistic news in the drumming counts from this year's Minnesota survey. I hope the hatch and brood conditions equal the drumming counts.

At least it's not bad news!

I heard Wisconsin was down a bit, and Michigan stopped doing counts a couple years ago.
I'll be headed back up there mid October regardless of the reports.

As I'm sure you know, Harold, a poor day after grouse in Wisconsin is currently better than any day trying to find huntable numbers in Ohio.

Good news for Minnesota! I'm a bit worried about northern NH and VT. So much rain on the young birds- fingers crossed.

Garry, Wisconsin may be down, but doubt it will be poor. Regardless, folks like you and I will be out running our dogs, carrying a favorite SXS, and posting pictures for those unfortunate not to be out doing the same thing. I cant wait!

Wisconsin, at least northern, is not down. Last 2 years have been incredible.
