If you are set on NC, you need to look at the central and eastern sections of the state particularly the sand hill country. Southwest Georgia has put and take operations on about every corner, if we had corners in SOWEGA.

Thanks for the responses but could use more ideas also some personal experience.
The Quail hunt is a bucket list item. I don’t get out of New England very often so my thought was to visit my grandson and family in Washington DC for a few days then drive some where and try a nice Quail hunt for 2 or 3 days. Great dog work is very important. I have started to look a 2 places The Webb Farm as mentioned above and George Hi plantation. Both of these places are about 6 to 7 hour drive from DC which would work and they seem fine. I’m not expecting that any of these places have a lot of native birds as they only have 1000 to 1700 acres. Also if they had a sporting clays course that would good. I’m also planning to have my wife accompany me, she does not hunt but would tag along so the accommodations are important. Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions. |
