So why are we questioning the originality of the forend? The checkering? Or the shape?
The checkering is questionable but I’m not really seeing a problem with the shape of the forend. Definitely different from my CHE but looks about the same as my GHE. Unfortunately she’s currently away from home, so I really can’t compare. I’m certainly not an expert but I would need more pictures of your forend from several different angles before I could even begin to pass judgement.
