Parker VH forend checkering - pay no attention to the engraving on the latch.
Gough ordered six VH Parkers that he would engrave specially for some of his dearest friends.

I would not have expected to see that tip on the same gun as that latch. In fact, I think it's unlikely that tip left the factory on a VH, as it has the 'lip'.
