Milton, I may not have posted this here before, but I'm sure I have on one of the forums. I use a MEC Supersizer as a hull vice. There are interchangeable collets available for it that will allow you to hold and gauge hull securely. Since I handled my 10s without a press it also is used to resize all of them. Double duty tool.

Here's an image of it in use with the .410 collet in place as I roll crimp some 3/4 oz. nickel plated shot .410s. Press down on the handle to grip the shell, crimp it, lift the handle to release the shell from the collet. Quick and easy. Just another option to do the same thing your hull vice does, but with the resizing option.
