I have hunted NY from the St Lawrence Valley down to the Finger Lakes region the last two weeks. I started duck hunting 50 years ago and have never seen the number of wood ducks like this year. Our marsh is holding 1000 woodies. The numbers in the St Lawrence Valley which is a major breeding ground are unbelievable. So you guys in the south get ready. We are still killing blue wing teal in the middle of October.
