Thanks Austin for that information. We don't usually think of that when we learn of a Parker or other guns turning up in England or having British proof marks.
Harvey H. Brown, competitive shooter and discussed in Ed Muderlak's last book was an industrialist, primarily in iron, from Cleveland, OH, donated his guns (likely all of them) to the British Home Guard.... all but one, that is - a fabulous highest grade twelve gauge hammer gun - his favorite Parker.
