I had a thread a while back that didn't get a lot of attention, but there is probably a lot more variation in rib material than eople realize. Breck Gorman has a running thread he calls Rib Art, l believe. I have a set of Parker laminate barrels with plain laminate top rib, plain twist rib behind the forend hook and Damascus in front of the hook. The Damascus steel in front of the hook is the finest, most delicate rosette pattern I have ever seen on a shotgun. Some people in the day may have put a lot of stock in this.
