I just sold a 6 lb 1.6oz 28" DHE to a member. My remaining 28" DHE is 6 lbs even, and my two trigger 26" DHE is 5lbs 14oz. I have a single trigger DHE with 26" barrels that weighs 6lb,3 oz.
A friend recently bought two identical 26" 20ga. Reproductions. One is 6lb, 8oz, the other is 6lb, 10oz. |

The differences in weights of Parkers vs. Parker Repros has got to come from somewhere -- like wall thickness, forend size and shape, LOP, SSBP, etc. Although 20ga. Repros are, more often than not, a few ounces heavier than Meriden Parkers, it's not always the case.
Gordon Gekko once said "Greed is good." He could have followed that up with "A little added weight could also be good."
