So there's your answer. If I remember correctly, Morris developed these for use in short-chambered (2 9/16") 16 ga. A-5s to ensure proper cycling. (I am assuming your loads are 2 1/2" ??). I have shot a number of them and they are really nice loads for the short-chambered guns.

Morris may pump those shells up a little for reliable functioning in the A-5. However, that is not required to make the gun work. My 12 gauge A-5s work with light 7/8 ounce loads with modified friction rings. My solution is to cut the ring in half with a machinist's saw and the result is a ring for two guns. This system has worked for me for years. By the way, the 16 gauge A-5 load is one ounce at 1200 fps, same as the Lite and Paper Lite. The only way to lower the pressure is to use a slower powder.

Kevin they are 2 1/2" 1200fps 1oz loads. They shoot very nice. The box is marked simply A5.
