My Dad has and now I do have a model 24 16 gauge with 28” barrels. He harvested everything from ducks to white tails with it over the 50 years he hunted with it. Probably made the prettiest shot on an 8 point buck in Northern Dutchess County NY as ever was made. From about 40 yards the buck came from out of a swamp and leaped over the slate wall and the old man put 2 pumpkin balls in his neck and he fell dead right in the middle of the logging road. Hit him in mid air.

I'm still trying to locate my first fluid steel barrel shotgun, a 20 gauge Model 24, serial number 26,497, 26" cylinder and modified. Bought in 1958 at Don's Gun Shop in Falls Church, VA for fifty bucks. I think I passed Dave at the door of the shop as he was leaving with a frown on his face.
