Just curious John why doesn't it work?

After the first the shot I have a tendency to go searching for the second trigger, causing too much delay between shots and a distraction. Or, I tend not to allow the trigger to reset after the first shot, causing a failure to fire. With double triggers I never think about it.

Good point. Never considered the delay in releasing the trigger to reset. In my opinion the single trigger on a double gun, be it a SxS or O/U, was a solution to a problem that didn't exist.

Just send me all your single trigger doubles, they're not worth anything anyhow and I can put them to good use

Thank God for Stan Hoover. I've got 6 maybe 8 single trigger guns that I need to unload and it's nice to see a young man like you willing to sacrifice his time to help a friend out in his time of need.

Here's one such animal that I believed was worth saving. She lingered in a small CT shop for well over a year---not rode hard by any means--but obviously put away damp/improperly stored. Thirty minutes with a Frontier pad erased a bit of that neglect. Came out of the North Haven vicinity and I have a hunch it never left the Nutmeg State. Shipped in Aug. of 1922 so I'm assuming the VR was a later add-on (unless this was one of the early prototypes that cut its teeth making diesel smoke at the Parker Gun Club ) Regardless, the owner knew what he wanted. DHE 32", DT's, Safety-delete, VR, choked .040/.040. Dimensions: 15 1/2 LOP x 1 5/16 x 1 5/16. Craig Libhart took her down to 14 7/8" and re-fit/contoured and plugged the original Silvers. Here are a few before and after pics. God willing, I'll be recommencing diesel smoke production at the Bo-Whoop Challenge in a few short weeks. That gun probably spent some time at the pigeon rings.
