I found the Lubriplate was too thick/coarse for the close tolerances on my tight Parkers’ hinge joint/hook and I couldn’t close the gun.

I put the tiniest "shmear" on the metal and haven't had any trouble. But then again sometimes I use what I use on my bullseye wad gun, a tiny speck of plain gun oil.
