I’ d tell you to ask Danny, but he would likely tell you he just watches the springs on the Suburban.

Maine and NH State championships were for a time on back to back 3 day weekends which made for a lot of shooting.

At the last Southern I shot upwards of 1500 shells, the five stand can burn up some shells. Hope it happens and the weather is good.

VA state skeet shoot back then was 600 over 4 days . Prelim on Thursday , 410 and 28 Friday , 20 and doubles Saturday then the 12 gauge event on Sunday . I think they’ve turned the gauges around now so folks can get oughtta there quicker on Sunday since way fewer 100’s with the 410 . I never did the VA State Trap except the 50 bird SxS thing a couple times . But any trap shoots I did were generally just 200-16 , 100 handicap and 50 pair of doubles . Trap never turned my crank as skeet did .

I’m thinking four guns on the course Friday and the same Saturday . Throw in the 12 , 16 and 20 challenge stuff and perhaps some sort of 8 gauge deals put together . And 100 at Drakes on Wednesday that’s loosely 700 . And maybe throw in a 410 hammerless for good measure brings it up to 750 . That’ll quench my thirst an tire me the heck out !!!!!

Issue with how many shells is which gauge gun will you shoot most. I don’t know until I start shooting. 12 & 20 fairly easy to estimate, could make a long run with 16 or 10 if they feel right. All 4 can enter Hammer or Hammerless. Typically carry 1200 + and a mild consumer of shells. No 410 or 28 & don’t shoot the challenge 5 stand field. Challenge course alone can use up large quantity of shells. Most shoot multiple practice rounds before the challenge itself.

Off site Rose Hill on the drive down has two courses full and a nice short sub gauge. Drakes has two courses and can stop at Kidds place or Hunters Pointe way home.

Have often relied on RST trailer to fill in, not a sure source this year. Bring all you can carry best plan.
