Why does it weigh so much?

High stocked guns are out there, you just need to be patient, and don't buy one because it calls to you with its 3+ inch drop...like I still do(!)

I'm finding this out. I can find stocks with the right dimensions they're usually of a grade I can't afford though.

My limited research bears out your observation regarding the likelihood of finding higher dimensions on higher grade guns. Since they were almost all special order guns, it would make sense that these guns would not have average-for-the-day measurements.

But, for what it's worth, last year I found and purchased a VHE 12, PH 20, and GH 20 all with high dimensions.

Keep looking. You'll find one.
