Default right of center

On an older gun 119 years old to be exact, wouldn't the right of center tend to indicate a repair to the bolt? And as I understand it that would involve welding to in effect re-side the bolt to "fit" again. It seems "suspicious" that a well used and shot 119 year old Parker would still have a top lever right of center absent a repair.

And when a "new" Parker left the "factory" in 1901 was the top lever right of center? Thank you.
