4 frame 10s seem to be more common. 5 frames don't appear much

Im watching a live auction right now , theres a 4 frame C grade coming up in a bit . Im interested to see what it goes for . The bores are listed as very good but it needs some action work . I think it will easily surpass their $800 estimate .

When I dont have money is when there are some nice big bore doubles up for auction , when I have money there are not any coming up for auction lol such is life .

That gun has some issues in the wrist . But still a good deal for the price .

Milton, are you telling us that you didn't buy that gun? Also, I was disappointed that you didn't respond to my comment about 9 bore English guns. We are, to be honest, in a learning situation here. Please respond.

Nope , I wont be in the market until probably October if it ever stops raining and we can start getting the peanut harvest in . Oh you mean about trying to push a plastic wad through a 9 bore barrel ? The only information I know about that is from the guys over across the pond who still use them . Theres quite a few 8 gauge reloaders over on pigeon watch and they were the ones talking about the problems trying to shoot the Remington wads through their guns .

Though not all of them had tight bores , we all know how widely bore diameter can vary in old doubles .

The #4 frame C grade had more problems than I was willing to tackle.

I can understand that , theres been alot of project guns I have wanted before and not just when it comes to sxs shotguns . Usually for me its not so much a money restraint but a time one . Gunsmithing work takes a long time to get finished .

Right now Im debating instead of buying another gun I would like to buy some cases of shells from RST .

I will barely have time to go hunting with my Parker , we are about to start picking peanuts and processing them and I work 84hrs a week until about the end of November .

I have 2 rifles I bought back in the spring I still havnt mounted scopes on .
