Roger, You will not believe how well you will see after that surgery. I have three friends who have had it done and beyond restoring their sight they felt it gave them a new lease on life. "Absolutely rejuvenating" is how it was described to me.
It will be the best decision you ever made next to marrying your sweet wife.

Maybe we'll see you in Barrington NH next New Years Day.

Default Cataracts

Roger; I had my right eye done at 62 and the left at 68. The 21st century job on the left was quicker and easier than getting a tooth filled. The cataract surgury only removes the lens; it does not change the shape of the eye. Your old glasses should still fit.

I had an interesting experience with the right eye. The cataract was dead center, and I could see everything but the thing I was looking at. I could pick up the trap bird, set the swing and hit it, even though I couln't see it when I fired. I shot trap until the week before the cataract was removed and maintained my A classification for the season.

Best, Austin

Austin & Chilled Shot;

Thanks for the moral support, frankly I am too dumb to be scared of catarac surgery. I can't wait to get my full vision back.

Default Thanks Pete

I think I am going to be out late New Year's Eve, so doubt I will be there. Enjoyed seeing everyone last year. Until Greenwich.

For those of you who are attending, I'll be bringing along about twenty 2011 calendars which I've designed with fellow PGCA Member Scott Gentry (THANK YOU SCOTT!!!).. Since these are kind of expensive to print off (I'm using my high-end photo printer), I'll ask that maybe one per person would be OK? They are printed on 11x17 heavy-weight archival rag photo paper with archival ink, so they should last should you want to frame them..

My best to all - and Scott - thank you again for permission to use your excellent photograph!!!

John
