As to the pitch question, yes, I would, if and when I were to make such a modification, but I much prefer your idea to mine. That way I could save teh original butt plate, which is fine, except for that small chip.

And rest assured, I would put the job in the hands of someone else, preferably someone who knows what they are doing.
