I think it's been re barreled. A gun that age would have smooth top rib. They look like fluid steel too.

I think that might be the case , If it so it would be a interesting double once the wood is replaced . I have seen 3 damascus barreled 10s where people have had the chambers reamed to 3.5" . Pugs has a Parker lifter with 3.5" chambers which I think was probably reamed out at some point .

I was also looking at a NID 10 ga magnum for $1900 but it needs a forend , ive found stock makers who carry forends for the 12 and 16 gauge NIDs but not the 10 so im not sure what it would cost to remedy that .

"Wood replaced". How much do you think that will cost? There is no part of this gun that is original. American walnut on a Scott?? The muzzles are 1/10" thick. Scott didn't do that. Where are the proof marks? I don't think they know how to take the gun apart to look at the proof marks.
