Barrel wall thickness at the chamber's end is the key. Otherwise, it seems OK for the price range. Perhaps a bit high. There's a lot of work to get it half way decent again.

I wonder how much it costs to make a new forend ? I see 5k as the normal price to fully restock a sidelock . I wonder if the stock is original though the grip looks elongated compared to others . Theres also a NID 10 mag listed cheaper than ive ever seen one but again its forend has been replaced with what looks like a 2x6 piece of lumber I wondered how much it would cost to have a new one made .
there are better guns right now for the money and I dont think it would be smart to buy a project I intend to use so close to season .
