I have seen, handled, worked on enough to say they are not super rare by any means. They are out there.

It's all about writing the check, Dudley. Right? If you think there might be something there, you write the check. Why are #3 and #1/2 frame guns so scarce? It's about not being willing to ask to take the gun apart to find out. I bought my DHE 1/2 frame back end and forend out of a box of parts at the Southern. I had the barrels in my own junk box. The 16 gauge barrels for that gun, oh, they came from a member's junk box.
