my dad really liked roasting chessnuts he gave me a tip on them before he passed...he said to drill a hole in them with your pocket knife before you put them in the micro wave...if you did not drill them they would explode like a big firecracker.....charlie....

ps my dad also boiled them with salt...just like boiling salt peanuts in the hull...tasted pretty good...charlie
