Maybe replacement wood, longer than original, using the original screw. You can restore to original appearance by making a new screw with the appropriate longer base, or using a stack of washers under the new screw. Personally, I think that is a pretty minor fault as trap guns go.

Three Remington era Parker SBT forearms. From bottom to top.

1) 1937 SC. This is the typical trap forearm and original to the gun.

2) 1937 SB. This is wider than the typical trap forearm but original to the gun.

3) 1936 SC. This is the forearm in question with the recessed reinforcement bolt. It is wider than typical and shaped more like a BTF on a side by side. I'm on the fence but lean toward it being original.

IBM cards on all three. Nothing more than grade, barrel length and where they were shipped to.
