Mike, try some PB Blaster - there are several different types of product - penetrant, anti-seize, lubricant, rust remover, etc. I used the penetrant to loosen the hinge pins on my new Fox Pin Gun. The screw slots were cocked up at odd angles from the horizontal and were super tight, so I douched each one with PB and left them sit overnight. Next day they rotated out with minimal hand torque. Great stuff - I've used it for years on super-rusted nuts & bolts on outdoor equipment. The key to success is letting it sit and seep in.

Kevin is right PB blaster works well. I've been using a 50/50 mixture of WD40 and ATF, it is much cheaper and works just as well. I use a ton of this penetrating solution and it cheap if you buy the WD in a gallon can and get any store brand of ATF. Using a heat gun or in a pinch a hair dryer to gently heat the area it allows just enough expansion for the solution to migrate.

BTW; Both of my Lefevers have a slotted head to the ball adjustment.

Similar to what Daryl recommends I use 50/50 of acetone and ATF.

A cheap oil can from Harbor Freight to apply and make sure to shake it good before using it since it separates.
