A young family in Las Vegas bought her from a pet store at 12 weeks old because she was a cute puppy.
They had no idea what they were getting into. Non hunters, no clue about training a GSP, and with a 300 square foot back yard.
It has been quite a challenge, to say the least. She had zero obedience training, and never been around a gun.
Obedience training is an ongoing thing. Gun training was a snap, then came the introduction to birds.
Her prey drive is off the hook! She catches scent from 50 yards. Outperforms the old dogs, and puts in a solid performance in the field. Not retrieving yet, but hopefully will get there. I'm thinking she will be ready for the 2020 season.
