well - its winter and Chuck will need something to do until spring shooting events start
it would be interesting to find the gun.
since the records cannot be searched by name - how about using the approximate date of the catalog and use the serialization book to see how many A1's were made around that time, and fit the specs. that might give you serial numbers to review
