Certainly different guns will have very slight differences in these and other areas.

reset rod

Default reset rod

Took reset rod out and cleaned it with 0000 steel wool. Ran a drill bit back and fourth by hand in the hole, everything is back together and works as it should. Stoned a few mating surfaces. Thanks to all and a special thanks to Brian for the professional input. T.
