You can use a metal machinist 6" ruler or even a tapemeasure and flashlight. Insert the ruler in the chamber until you get to the beginning of the forcing cone. The distance from the beginning of the forcing cone to the end of the chamber is your length. Not super accurate but will get you in the ball park. A flashlight angled just right will help you see the forcing cone.
