Attached is a pic of two forend tips. The tip on the left is on a 1911 DH which has the eyebrow, the tip on the right is on a Parker Reproduction which I'm describing as flat. Bruce has posted a pic of a 1939 Parker tip that appears to be flat, but also has what I'd call shoulders.

Dean, you posted that Parker Repro forend tips were closely copied to those on the Remington built guns.

Brian, if I'm understanding you correctly, the switch to the flat or flat with shoulders tips was made while the guns were still being built in Meriden and prior to the move to Ilion, is that right?
