I do not want to jinx this, but just talked with the hospital. Everything doing fine. If all still goes well may come home as early as tomorrow

If I have learned anything from this is that you need to be an advocate for your dog. I was and the surgeon told me last night after surgery that thank goodness I brought him in yesterday, for today may have been to late. I kept pushing the Vets in NH that he was not right and needed more attention and tests. They cannot advocate for themselves, they need us to do that.
