Parker Brother Shot Shell Belt ???

It is described as being marked "Parker Brothers". I would ask for pictures showing the markings. There is a similar belt and buckle pictured in an early Parker catalogue, probably the 1887 catalogue, one of those belts is in my collection, but mine is not marked Parker Brothers. I don't think the estimated price is what such a belt is worth. I have no idea what the stocks are worth.

I have examined a couple of these and this one from what I can see from the photo is correct. But as Bill remarked none have been marked Parker. I too would like to see the markings before I bid.

I can't find the one with the brass buckle in the 1887 or 1889 Parker catalog, but I think the metal clips are a Parker patent. The one in the 1887 and 1889 catalogs has leather shell receptacles and two light duty leather straps and buckles in place of the brass buckle pictured in the auction catalog. We might find the one with the big brass plate in the Johnson book but I can't find it in The Parker Story.

I can't believe the timing of this post. I was getting ready to ask for help in getting a value of my old shell belt that is loaded with empty brass 10 ga. shells. I don't believe it is marked either. I will try and take pictures tomorrow and post them. Just checked belt and is stamped H. Nelson Makers Kirkwood Missouri. Thomas L. Benson Sr.
