Yup, we know who you're referring to, but it was not Daryl Middlebrook.

Daryl and Bernie were two wonderful guys. I miss both of them a lot.

Bernie had a bunch of 8s and would pay whatever it took to get one he wanted. Both he and Daryl helped me on my 8 gauge quest (along with Bill)

Daryl Middlebrook was a close friend, I miss wintering in Florida with him, and weekly trips to the Local Sheriffs range for skeet, He was indeed a big bore guy and he had some very interesting guns, I believe he had a C grade 10 gauge with Titanic barrels book did not show any made but he had one! He also had a 4 bore and I believe a 2 or 3 bore, and yes his guns did sell a little below what he paid, but as all of us do he had the pleasure of handling and admiring his collection, I will have a Gin and Tonic for you this evening my friend! If you are in this to make money, you are in it for the wrong reason.

I use to kid Daryl about being a big bore fan and yet he bought a H&H hammer 28 ga with an extra set of Rizzie 410 barrels that he liked to shoot! Now those bores are pretty far apart and yes I own that gun now and I think of Daryl every time I take it out...............

I will say over the years I've made decent profit on a pile of lever action rifles and some Fox guns . But I've only let two Parkers go in 58 years .

I wonder if he got his 2 bore from Colin Stolzer .
The double was sold at auction not long after the owner had it .
I used to have a picture of a 2 bore sxs jone underlever shotgun .

I wish I could have talked to some of these big bore shotguns guys before they passed .

I talked to both, but only briefly. Wish I could have talked to them more.
