I saw some long barreled single-shot shotguns in an upcoming Rock Island Auction. I was trying to figure out what you would use them for. After reading this thread I now know. Those are some long barrels:
A 71 1/2" barrel, then a 55" and a 48". The first barrel puts you two yards closer to the target. What is surprising is two of them are listed as 16 gauge instead of 12. I would think they all were 12s. If they go for the low estimate, they would be a bargain for what someone paid to have them done. An old shooter has gone to the great turkey shoot in the sky.
