That engraving may be Parker but it is going to be a tough sell without something (letter) to back it up. Even if it is Parker it does not speak to me at all. I would much rather have traditional D engraving over that style, just my opinion. Concerning the lack of drop points, has anyone ever seen a hammerless D grade or above that did not have drop points ?

Last year at the Southern I sold a 32inch straight grip DHE flat rib live bird gun that lettered and had no drop points.

I believe it was Randy. Everything about the gun matched the letter, stock dimensions, and that it was ordered with a silvers pad. I gave the letter to the buyer.

Thanks for the info Rich. I am looking at photos of one now that is lacking drop points, the stock is numbered to the gun. More to follow on that one I hope.

The lack of drop points are not the only thing about this stock that tells us it is not original to the gun. There are many things about it that tell us that.

I am aware of this. My original question was intended to focus solely on the absence of drop points on any Parker they would normally be present on just to see if any members had encountered this previously on a gun that was correct.
