The place was bought and made into a quail place by a member of the Pratt family. Apparently, he visited his cousins at Good Hope Plantation and decided he had to have a place of his own. It became a club but members of the Pratt family were members until very recently. Our own Allan Mcclane is a member of the Good Hope Pratt family.
