Hi Jay..!

Firstly - welcome aboard!!

Second.. Russ is absolutely right, of course.. Near the end of the month - I will start a new thread which shows all the pictures nominated and posted in this original thread. When that happens, folks will be able to vote on their "favorites" - and the winner takes all..

Now - this month - honestly - I'll probably put up the voting thread this weekend as I leave for Haiti for a week or so - which means I won't have a chance to post the "winner" until I return. Further - I'm trying to pull together some nifty prizes (more on that later,OK?).

Finally - given the outstanding quality and sheer number of the pictures submitted this month - I'm certain that voting will be very competitive, as there are quite a few "great shooters" (both Parker and Camera ) on this forum..

Many thanks again!

John

Hi Dave ,Nice Picture ,Which gun are you showing there , I used to look forward to hunting Woodcock in a " semi local " apple orchard ,the trees were huge , and always full of delicious big Red Juicy Apples and the lush high green grass was unbelievable ,the birds would rest out the midday nestled into those tufts of soft grass ,showed up on the opener about 10years ago , and it was gone it had been turned into an open strip job ! Broke my heart ,it has been reclaimed ,but to no comparison of what it was ! Russ

Russ, Dean took that photo of Pa'tridge eaten yellow apples. He had read that grouse won't eat yellow apples...another fallacy. The gun pictured is Dean's 28 gauge Repro
