When my VH 12 doubled, it only did it when I pulled the rear trigger first, which told me that the front sear, which had always gotten the most use, was worn. I dismantled it and 'sharpened' the front sear a bit and it was fixed. I'd guess that this issue and just being grotty inside are the main causes of doubling. And this issue has been discussed at length in the forum.
