yeah I assumed it must have had some sort of scope on their at some point. The screws and holes for mounting certainly do not appear to be original.

I have a GH that had its rib drilled for one of those trifling sight contraptions. I sent the barrels to an engraver who made and engraved little screws to fill the holes. It actually looks pretty nice.

Nathan that's a dandy combination, a 16 gauge with 30" tubes. If it was on an O frame I would try to buy it from you. Been looking for one,unsuccessfully so far. Before you shoot this one you should have the chambers measured. Most likely they are 2.5". If so shooting 2.75" ammo in it will create some increased pressures you can avoid with the proper ammo not to mention the additional thump it will give your shoulder.

So, Ed, who is the engraver who tidied up your holes? My search for such a person has come up expensive.
