Glad you had good weather.
Out by Rule, the rains had dispersed the birds or run them off to Mexico. Our first day started slow, but ended early with a chunk floater that made mud so quickly 2 4WD drive pickups had to be pulled out.

That afternoon, 20 miles away there was no rain or doves.
This morning, my Android weather app showed a monsoon moving up from Abilene, so two cars of us did not go to the field, but waited till daylight to head back Dallas way. About thirty miles down the road, one of the hunters called to tell me that the storm had run them off the field; he told me he would be back to the lodge in 20 minutes before I told him that we were already past Throckmorton and "on the road again".
Only good thing about the outing was the food and bull sessions.
