I could not agree with you more than that !! I have always use USPS, registered, insured, in pine box with all screws covered by approved USPS tape, and most important always to a FFL holder. It is a bit more expensive and longer in travel time ( maybe a week cross country), remember you are shipping an expensive gun. It is worth every penny !!

The best part of Allen's method is that his hand made boxes quickly become collector's items.

Bill... You are right about Allan's boxes. I've always jokingly
said when you receive one from Allan "sell the gun but keep
the box"!
