When I was a kid, I had an old feeble King BB-Gun (Think Daisy 25). One of my buddies and I would run the BBs out, and raid the strike anywhere matches on the fusebox, and wrap old copper wire around the stick just behind the head for weight. Stuck the match stick tail down the barrel and 'blazed away'.
We had a block front porch railing where we'd shoot at paper targets taped on the other end of the porch and when the matches hit the blocks they'd light.
Kinda fun for 9 or 10 year old kids.
