Was 26" the go-to barrel length for upland hunting in 1984?

Also, how were the PR's received amongst the Parker community at the time, Bill?

Pretty much. My dad loved 26" guns, and I remember that he wouldn't give much attention to anything longer than 28". Many Thursday night rides home from Safari were in the company of a short barreled small bore Parker. I was just chauffeuring the old boy, having one year old twins at home.
