what I am looking forward to

that mythical "been in one family since new 10 gauge" for which, one of my favorite antique dealers, says he has said he has a deal going on- for the last month

saw him yesterday - he told me the owner was in this week - still didn't bring it in

other than that -- a 16 gauge hammer gun, that hole may be filled -i'll know soon

I've got, at last count, 8 20ga. Parkers from 26"-32", damascus and steel, 4 16ga. from 26"-32", damascus and steel and 2 28ga. I'm not saying I would'nt jump on another if the right smallbore Parker came along but right now I'm focusing on smallbore (20ga) Foxes.

I did some trading last year for a Lefever 16ga Optimus, a Purdey light game gun and an AE Fox 20 with 30 inch tubes.

2018 will bring a wonderful CHE 16 with 80% case color and 30 inch barrels on a #1 frame. I'm not really looking for anything and there is nothing I really want or need

Huh... A 16g Optimus? As far as i know there is only one known to exist and remains in a long time private collection. A few “clones” are known of. Was it one of those?
